About me

I grew up in Canete, Chile, a small town of around 30,000 people. When I was in school, we had the opportunity to participate in a program that provided computers to schools. I was fascinated by these machines, and even more amazed when I discovered they were all connected in a network. Though we didn’t have internet at first, we eventually got it, and during my lunch breaks, I would sneak into the computer lab to explore it. That’s when I first encountered search engines.
After a few weeks of teaching myself how to use computers and the internet, I realized I could learn anything I wanted on my own. I taught myself English, computers, and music, amongst other things. I learned to hack computers during this period for better or worse. Today I have a career in Information Technology working as a Chief Technology Officer for a local non-profit. I have worked in almost every area of Information Technology. My favorite experiences have been in Electronic Medical records and Industrial Information Technology.
My passion for technology inspired me to write this book about cybersecurity and 2 Factor Authentication, as I believe there is a significant need for increased awareness and education on this topic. I hope this guide can be useful for people in both their personal and professional lives.
